Picture Perfect

There has been so much to be thankful for this November or every day before and after!

I can’t believe my baby boy, has grown into such an amazing and loving husband! Just about two months ago our youngest son, Dawson, finally wed the love of his life, Jessyca. Being the mother-of-the-groom I was fortunate enough to have been asked to officiate the wedding. It was such an incredible experience, standing there in front of my youngest son. Watching his eyes fill with joy while he gazed at his bride walking down the aisle. Eyes glisten and filled with happy tears, smiling ear to ear. That is an image I will never forget.

Getting so wrapped up in the monotonous routines of our daily lives, I sometimes forget to slow down and truly see what surrounds us. I was bound and determined to soak in every inch of my surroundings that day. Such as the little smirk of the Best Man, my middle son, Joshua smiling as he watched his little brother tie the knot. The way his oldest brother Kyle stood with confidence and happiness being a groomsman, all while trying to help make my youngest son’s day picture perfect. His baby sister Maggie had that sparkle of the midday sun in her eyes, warming her heart while seeing her brother place the ring on his bride’s finger. Seeing his oldest sister Kelly and the love reverberating through her as she watched her baby brother say, “I do.” My husband and his father, full of pride for his son, all while carefully orchestrating the magic of the ceremony, holding back the tears.

My advice would be to soak in all the memories. Etch them into your mind. Take lots of pictures and pictures of your wife;) You and those who come after you will be so glad you did one day. There is so much to be thankful for that makes life so special. Live a happy, loving, and fulfilled life you deserve.

  • You don’t have to win every argument.
  • Share your feelings. It’s more rewarding than being alone.
  • Be at peace so you can focus on the present.
  • Enjoy the journey.
  • Envy is a waste of time.
  • Get rid of “things” that clutter. “Stuff” you don’t need weighs you down.
  • Ask yourself with these six words, ‘In five years, will this matter?’
  • Time heals almost everything, so give time a chance.
  • No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
  • All that truly matters in the end is that you are loved.
  • No matter how you feel, get up, get dressed, and show up.

Whether it’s the first day being married or the 3,000th day, it shouldn’t matter. Remember you, said I do for a reason;) Hold your memories in your heart. All that truly matters is living a life filled with blessings and memories to be thankful for.

Sending all my love,

Ginger Kelly
